It's a bit surprising at first when Germany is told to close his eyes and actually obeys, rather grudgingly, the Italian's giggling demands. Despite not having a choice (what with one warm hand being placed briefly over his eyes), Germany decides to humor Feliciano even though his better intentions tell him to, well... not.

"Keep them shut, Germany!"

"Why." The way he says it isn't even questioning- it's more of a demand for knowledge.

"Because I said so!"

"Ah..." Germany wasn't entirely sure he should trust Italy's intentions. Feliciano wasn't exactly the most clever person in the world but Germany had been wrong before... however grudgingly he was willing to admit this. Ludwig scowls as Italy removes his hand and dares himself to open one eye- catching a blurred and discolored glimpse of Feliciano's face before his eye is once more covered with a hand. "Italy..."

"Keep your eyes -closed-, Germany!"

"Italy... why?"

"I TOLD you so!" The note in Italy's voice is just a hair above pleading. Maybe he was begging just a -little- bit. "Please, Germany?"

"What do you have planned?" Germany said carefully, reaching up one hand to try and brush Italy's hand away but was met with Italy's other hand suddenly grasping his own, fingers lacing together tightly. Now, if Germany tried to shoo the hand covering his face away, he would only succeed in punching himself in the face. Wonderful.

"A secret."

Germany jerks his head slightly, and manages to free himself from Italy's grip for a moment and gets a once-more blurred look of the world around him. "Dammit, Italy... stop..."

"Just keep them shut for a -minute-, Germany! I want to do something! Please?"

The note in Feliciano's voice is just so perfectly pleading.

"I... Italy, tell me what you're going to do."

"It's a -surprise-, Germany!"

Feliciano isn't that clever, he reminds himself. He won't do anything horrid. What was the worst he could do? Stupid, really, to think that Italy could do something to actually make him -nervous-. It would probably be something pasta-related.

Germany's vision focuses and he's able to look at Italy's face. The other male is pouting just slightly, coaxing lips pursed with his head tilted slightly to one side. Oh mein Gott... puppy face.

Ludwig scowls. "Italy... is it going to -hurt?"

Italy giggles, expressing clearing. "No! Of course not! Silly, Germany, I wouldn't do anything to HURT you!"

"Is it going to be embarassing?"

"No!"

"Italy..."

"Germany, -please-?"

They're still holding hands. Germany sighs, stares into Italy's face for a moment longer, and then finally closes his eyes. He hears Italy's giggle of delight- and then he feels a hand clamped over his eyes again.

A sudden weight is put onto his lap and he can -only- assume that Italy is sitting on him. "Italy..."

A soft laugh, and the hand is slowly removed- Germany keeps his eyes shut, despite his inner forebodings.

"Italy, what-"

Something satiny-soft and warm are pressed against his mouth. It takes a moment before he registers it as Italy's lips- and that Italy is kissing him. The hand that was gripped in Feliciano's slackens, then tightens again as he finds himself kissing back.

A soft noise comes from Feliciano, and it sounds pleased.

It's a moment before Italy pulls his lips away, giggling happily.

"You can open your eyes now, Germany."

Germany tentatively opens one eye.

"If I keep them shut, will you kiss me again?"
